Hotfix for April 17th, 2008
Yep, there was another hotfix today, here is the lowdown:
GAMEPLAY
Fixed a memory issue associated with some particle effects, especially in Veeshan's Peak.
Added a new option, “Reuse vertex buffers”, in the “Display” tab under “Performance”, this may help alleviate some of the stutter or stall issues seen on certain video cards. When set, the graphics engine will cache and reuse vertex buffers.
Fixed an issue where the Overking would sometimes not drop an item from his common item table.
During the Venril Sathir fight, there is more time between the casting of Toxic Infusion and Fatalisis, and the casting time of Toxic Infusion can no longer be modified.
The Mistresses of Hate will no longer part with their black hearts so easily.
The rhino calves should once again be able to be delivered to the distant herd in the fury epic.
So they definitely got some stuff taken care of today, which is good. Hopefully they will ease up on the number of patches soon, but we will have to wait and see.

What's up with the pop up ads on the network status page?
Servers are still locked of course, it has only been half an hour since they went down, but I figured it was about time to blog about the ads they put on their site. Not the sidebar ads, the big ad right smack dab on the page that you either have to close or scroll by for it to disappear. It doesn't even relate to EQ2! If at least it was about another expansion or some upcoming update then that would make more sense.

How to get to Jarsath Wastes
There are a couple of different ways, I find the easiest one to be to take the bell to Antonica or Commonlands docks, then the boat to Kylong Plains. From Kylong Plains, take the sokokar to Teren's Grasp, then to Highton and from there to the Jarsath Wastes post. The Jarsath Wastes zoneline isn't that far from Highton but using the sokokar of course makes for even shorter travel time.
