The patch August 28

So what did they do today? The fix today was related to bonus experience.

The tooltip on the experience window now shows server-wide bonus experience modifiers as well as experience potions, etc.

Looking for that network status?

Well today I didn't realize I logged in shortly before 7 am PST (which is the standard almost daily patch time), and I didn't see a notification of servers going down when I logged in. There I go to check the broker and then be trying to work on that tradeskill (up to 71 armorer now, it's moving albeit slowly). First, I decide to start placing some items in my house and then kaboom black, quit button and messages about trying log in servers. At this point the Cor isn't very happy and I try again (patcher takes a while to update if servers are up or not) but then it does the log in server number 1- umpteenth again, so I exit and go to network status page. Yep, patch... hisss....

Anyways, the network status page can be found at:

Guild Halls - expensive?

According to the Allakhazams peak on guildhalls from SoE Fan faire guild halls should be coming in three tiers, starting at 50 pp for tier 1 (guild level 30), 250 pp for tier 2 (guild level 50) and 1,000 (holy guacamole sauce!) for tier 3 (guild level 70). There will be amenities you can purchase. The amount of amenity slots vary with the level of the guild. The amenities have to be purchased by a member with trustee access. Examples of amenities may include druid portal npc and guild hall banker. This might all change as it comes to live servers. If the prices don't come down though, I don't see Booyah buying any guild halls. We are a level 56 guild, but only a few hardcore players left and those prices listed are quite a bit too much for us. A guild hall might not really be worth it for only a few players because there is also upkeep to the guild hall as well as the amenities.

Do women really play EQ2? Yes, they do!

Ugh... there was this big chat going on the other day in Norrath. Some caveman was deciding that women didn't have the right to progress in society and should be barefoot and pregnant. I was like, what the NORRATH! I wasn't the only female to get furious with the ignorant caveman. Yes, women of all ages really do play MMORPGs. Some guys might choose to play a female character, and some females might choose to play a male character. Most men realize this, and then there are a select few that does not, and unleash the wrath of the Cor and other females.

The patch August 25 for EQ2

Much ado for not much? Well, today's patch apparently fixed it so that reprieve potions no longer auto consume. Hm, I hadn't noticed it did that in the first place, but it is good they fixed that.
