Research assistants coming soon to a Norrath town near you!
Yep, in all my tiredness I will write this post. The Newfoundland puppy decided to keep mommy up all night and the broodlings woke up early. I figured I could log in and work on some writs since I'm trying to work on a workbench, stove and forge for our little guildhall. Hm... trying log in server 1,2,3,4,5...etc etc... sigh. Servers down, go figure lol. Anyways, servers went down today at 4 am PDT and expected (we all know that could be more, not often less) downtime is 2 hours.
Is this for Monument and Might? Maybe, maybe not. We'll see...
Research assistants will be coming to a Norrath city near you with the update Monument and Might. You have probably seen people talk about it in chat.
In the Qeynos area you will find:
Researcher Tanglmayn
Researcher Andor Quist
Researcher Oakfish
Researcher Bubbler
Researcher Sandsea
Researcher Oatheaver
In the Freeport area you will find:
Researcher Gromk
Researcher Fomondulus
Researcher Yurik
Researcher Saltprow
Researcher V’Tun
Researcher Valseth
Neriak will have Researcher Miller Dramigan, residents of Haven will have Researcher Lance Dra’Kal,Gorowyn will have Researcher Byrche Di’Ervs and in the Greater Faydark Researcher Fallulah will assist you.
So what does this researching thing mean? Will prices drop on spells and masters? For masters (especially the most pricey ones) I imagine they will by quite a bit (no guarantee though).
Here is what Sony says about the research assistants
The researchers are currently offering their services for Adept and Master level spells and combat arts. For skills below level 20, they only require a day to provide you with your upgrade. After level 20, the higher level the spell you require, the longer it will take them to accurately research the components, up to 30days.
The researchers are a busy lot, so they will only provide the service for you on one character per account. After all, they want to be able to help everyone!
Should you choose to discontinue research on a specific spell and change to a different one, the time your researcher has already spent on your behalf will be applied to the new spell.
These scholars are eager to assist you, so be sure to stop by and say hello.
Hm, only one character per account? I would have to hope and guess that means one character at a time... not all together just one character can get help with spells.
zzz.... /drinks some caffeine.
Well in other news, I finally got Cor her full set of tier one shard armor and have all four Mara shard recipe books. Slowly working on the tier 2 armor now.
